I Am Worthy

No matter what you may be experiencing in your life, at work or in your relationships you are worthy.

No matter what is going on in your outer world, your worthiness is inherent and absolute.

Even if you have a contemptuous self-loathing relationship with yourself, your worthiness remains irrefutable.

Your self-destructive behaviour can not tamper with your worthiness.

The unpleasant and cutting opinions of others towards you, cannot inflict any damage on your worthiness.

Spiteful, jealous people shredding your character cannot quash your worthiness.

You are emphatically worthy. Period.

Imagine, how your life might be different if you believed that you are ever worthy. 🦋

Breath 4-7-8

Resonant breathing, also called coherent breathing, can help us calm our anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and help us to get into a more relaxed state.

Deep breathing increases the supply of oxygen to our brain and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes a state of calmness.

I personally use and recommend to my clients the 4-7-8 breathing technique, that focuses on the following breathing pattern:

* empty the lungs of air.

* breathe in quietly through the nose for 4 seconds.

* hold the breath for a count of 7 seconds.

* exhale forcefully through the mouth, pursing the lips and making a “whoosh” sound, for 8 seconds.

* repeat the cycle up to 2-4 times.

I promise you that when you do this correctly, it will greatly reduce your anxiety, stress or overwhelm. 🦋

Pragmatic Optimism

‘Pragmatic Optimism’ is knowing that everything will be ok while we follow the recommendations made by authorities, showing good citizenship, being socially responsible and staying at home. 🦋

Everything Is Going To Be Alright.

Everything is going to be alright. Intuitively, we know this. We also know that we are strong, powerful and resilient.

Globally, we know that the pandemic will flatten, the dust will settle and we will return to normal, a slightly altered normal but normal nevertheless.

Let us remember…

That cool heads prevail, to discern the facts from the drama. To be informed but to stop news binging. To talk ourselves down from our anxiety by disproving our fear based inner dialogue with actual facts. 

And …

To breath deeply, to reduce our anxiety quickly and naturally.

To journal about our thoughts and feelings with pen and paper.

Review our options.

To think creatively.

Act responsibly, follow the rules laid out by our government and medical officials.

Focus our attention on daily random acts of kindness, ours and others.

Fear is normal, leverage it, get proactive, creative and productive.

Also …

Clean, organize and purge your home, car, office, electronic files ….

Start that creative project you’ve been thinking about.

Learn something new, read watch a documentary or e-learning …

Go for walks in the park. Play with your children. Jog. Meditate. Workout …

Reach out with a helping hand to the vulnerable and frail in your community.

Mend those fences, forgive and make peace.

Watch or listen to comedy! Dance! Listen to nature sounds, meditative music and your favourite bands, musicians.

Engage …

This is our time to govern our thoughts and feelings, open our heart and reach out to others with a helping hand and kindness.

If there was ever a time to have an immersive self-empowerment experience it’s now. Consciously, let us embody our authentic power and move forward with our innate creative power.

Walk Away!

A toxic person is usually characterized as being insecure, self-centred, jealous, manipulative, domineering and controlling.

How do you know if you are in relationship with a toxic person? They tend to suck the sweetness out of your life and emotionally shred you.

The following are 10 common signs that a person is toxic;

🦋 You’re left feeling emotionally exhausted after spending time with them.

🦋 They try to intimidate, blame or shame you to get their way.

🦋 They try control you with guilt.

🦋 They easily anger and lash out.

🦋 They can’t take ‘no’ as an answer.

🦋 They see themselves as a victim, to garner attention and sympathy.

🦋 They give ambiguous back-handed compliments.

🦋 They have no respect for your boundaries.

🦋 They don’t take responsibility for their own feelings.

🦋 They are self-centred, uncaring and unsupportive.

Essentially, toxic people are not interested in you and your life. They are interested in how you can be an asset for them, how they can use you for their own benefit.

You cannot change them!

You deserve to have respectful, supportive and appreciative people in your life. Life is too short to spend time with people who don’t inspire you to be your best self, living your authentic life.

Emotional suffering is a choice, a habit that supports the nonsensical notion, that ‘they’ not you are responsible for what you think and thus what you feel.

No one can force you to think your thoughts nor feel your feelings. You are the author of your suffering.

To stop your self-inflicted suffering, begin with telling yourself a different story. 🦋

The Beguiling Pull of Resistance

The difference between an authentic life and a life by default is the willingness to overcome the beguiling pull of resistance, to rest in the security of what is known, to sustain the comfortable, easy and safe status quo. 🦋

It’s Figureoutable

Believing that everything is figureoutable is what keeps our dreams alive long enough for them to blossom into fulfillment. 🦋

Why Not You?

So, why not you? If they can be, do and have what they desire, then why not you? How are you less deserving? 🦋

Stop Resisting, Start Creating.

What we resist will persist. What we resist we become. We think we are resisting undesirable situations because they are present in our lives, but the truth is that the unwanted circumstances are in our lives because we are resisting them. In addition to having a crystal clear vision of what a successful life looks like, starting over requires a renewed consciousness that is free of past limiting thoughts and false beliefs.

Starting over requires a vitality, an inner-persistence that can smash through our past ignorance and gather the golden nuggets of truth upon which a renewed life can be created upon. 🦋

Always Doing The Right Thing

One of the greatest values in any relationship whether it is with ourselves or with others is integrity. A true test of our integrity is a fierce refusal to compromise it because we know that without it we have nothing. 🦋

Pause, Breath, Transform …

We all have the power of choice. The only action we can control in any emotionally charged situation is how we choose to ‘react’ or ‘respond’.

Our choice can affect the outcome one way or another.

When we ‘respond’ to a situation, we are consciously in our power with the intention to create positive momentum aimed at mutual understanding and satisfaction.

When we ‘react’ we tend to be out of control, defensive and combative, spiralling deeper into drama, fanning the flames of our ego.

The next time you are in a challenging situation and your ego becomes triggered by fear, and you can feel frustration, annoyance, disappointment or some other defensive emotion rising to the surface, pause.

Take a deep breath and remind yourself that you have the power to transform the energy, direction and outcome of any situation with your response.🦋

Be Proud

Be proud of who you’ve become, your accomplishments, your life lessons and your vision for tomorrow.

Being proud of yourself is not vanity. Pride has more to do with genuine personal deep satisfaction whereas vanity is a superficial pretence that oftentimes appears coy, flashy or loud.

The sole aim of vain posturing is to bolster ones low sense of self-esteem by garnering positive reactions from others.

Vanity is about looking good out there whereas being proud is feeling good within oneself.

Today, appreciatively take a look at you and your life experiences. Stand tall and proud. You are worthy! 🦋

Fire and Ice

We are six weeks into the new year. It’s time to check in with our aspirations, intentions and goals for 2019. It’s time to celebrate our wins and to tweak our efforts where we are lagging behind. It’s also time to recommit ourselves to what we are aiming to accomplish this year or to let certain ambitions go because they are not true to what we deeply desire to experience. The test question for manifesting any dream is ‘Am I willing to run through fire and ice to have this dream come true?’ If the answer is yes, we keep going. If the answer is no, then we may want to consider letting it go for something that is in more alignment with our truest passions. 🦋
